What is Hydrachrome?

The “Chrome plating system” process is a chemical silvering process. Different silver and reagent solutions are sprayed, using spray stations, to create a chrome effect as a fine layer of silver: an activator is sprayed over a glossy lacquer to create the necessary adherence for the silver molecule. Then you apply the silver and its reducer simultaneously to create the “silver mirror”, and a topcoat to protect the silver deposit

The “chrome plating system” can potentially be used on all materials and substrates, provided that they have been properly prepared and/or primed with a specific primer.

Resistance & Durability

The “Chrome Plating” system does not create a real hard chrome and does not pretend to produce such a resistant finish. It’s a system which essentially consists of a decorative layer; its final resistance is no greater than that of a conventional body or car paint system.
